Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek & Rakaposhi Expedition 2026–2030
Experience one of the most spectacular mountains of the Karakoram with Adventure Touristik. Whether your goal is to trek through the green alpine meadows of Nagar to Rakaposhi Base Camp, or undertake a serious mountaineering expedition toward the 7,788-meter summit of Rakaposhi, we offer locally organized trekking and expedition services for international and Pakistani adventurers.
Rakaposhi rises dramatically above Nagar Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, opposite the famous Hunza Valley. At 7,788 meters (25,551 ft), it is one of Pakistan’s great 7,000-meter mountains and one of the defining peaks of the western Karakoram.
The mountain is remarkable not only for its altitude but for its enormous vertical presence above the inhabited valleys below.
For trekkers, the journey from Minapin Village to Hapakun and Tagaphari/Rakaposhi Base Camp offers a relatively short but spectacular introduction to Karakoram trekking.
For experienced mountaineers, Rakaposhi presents an entirely different challenge: a major high-altitude expedition requiring technical experience, acclimatization, permits, logistics, experienced support, and careful expedition planning.
Adventure Touristik offers departures and customized arrangements for 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030.

WHY TREK TO RAKAPOSHI BASE CAMP?
Some of Pakistan’s most famous mountain adventures require long approaches.
Rakaposhi is different.
The trek begins from Minapin Village in Nagar Valley, making it possible to move relatively quickly from an inhabited Karakoram village into a landscape of forests, pastures, glaciers and enormous mountains.
The journey takes trekkers toward Hapakun and then higher toward Tagaphari, commonly known as the Rakaposhi Base Camp area.
From the high meadows, trekkers can experience extraordinary views of Rakaposhi, the Minapin Glacier and surrounding Karakoram peaks.
Neighboring Diran Peak, rising above 7,000 meters, adds another dramatic dimension to the landscape.
For travelers visiting Hunza or Nagar who want more than roadside sightseeing, this is one of the region’s most rewarding short trekking experiences.
